"I bought this shirt at the happiest place on earth. Turns out it's how most people feel about the most dreaded and reactive day of the week.
I totally get it. As somebody that early in my career wasted more Mondays than I can count, my life changed when I learned the true cost. Wasting Monday wastes 20% of the week, do that for an entire year, and you waste 2 1/2 months. That pivotal point when I was called out as somebody that wastes Mondays changed my life forever. We all have the same decision to make. Keep wasting Monday...or start winning it. I still do not win every Monday, but I commit to rebounding and still winning every week. What got me over the hump was thinking about it like the gym. It's about identity and habits, not willpower. It's about commitment, not motivation. Commitment begins when motivation ends.
Sometimes it sucks to go to the gym. But you committed, so you go anyway. Then you crush it, and you never regret it. That is exactly how winning Monday works.
It requires no superpower. It just requires no zeros on the scoreboard. Do one meaningful thing every Monday and you'll win the week. Repeat it 52 times and you win the year. At work, with your team, in your health, in your relationships, and beyond.
We all want a winning life. This is the weekly habit that earns it.
